Dr. Henry,
Just a quick question for you today. As you are aware the following provinces have dropped, or have announced they will be dropping, their segregation paper mandates on the following dates:
Alberta: February 8, 2022
Saskatchewan: February 14, 2022
Manitoba: March 1, 2022
Ontario: March 1, 2022
Quebec: March 14, 2022
New Brunswick: TBD, likely March 30, 2022
NWT: (appears to never have implemented a vaccine passport system)
I’m confused as to why Mr. Horgan, ostensibly under your direction, is running British Columbia in the same way as our maritime and northern neighbours, when we are much more closely aligned with Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec financially, politically and demographically. Surely when one’s federal government announces that there must be a return to normalcy, and the other provinces with whom we conduct substantial business similarly elect to eliminate these unlawful and discriminatory segregation tactics because they are not justified or effective (and most would argue never were), that would trigger someone in power within the BC government to start asking whether their approach to the current “pandemic” is correct? Instead, it appears that you and Mr. Horgan are doubling down on the punitive measures, first by mandating additional health care workers (including those who consult via Zoom – obviously to protect patients!) to be vaccinated by March 24, 2022 and now announcing you have no intention of lifting discriminatory mandates any time soon. Hopefully, your obstinacy and refusal to change your mind in the face of concrete evidence showing the failure of your vaccine program, will work to awaken even the most sleepy of Mr. Horgan’s constituents.
As an aside, as an unvaccinated person, I really don’t care about your vaccine passport system. It has been very enlightening to see who is an ethical and decent human being who refuses to discriminate, versus those of your followers who would have happily disclosed Anne Frank’s location. I have no intention of ever returning to any of the businesses in this town that enforced your edicts, and I will work tirelessly to ensure no one forgets who was on the wrong side of history in what will be known as one of the worst debacles of the free world.
Yours in equality.
