Good morning from Kelowna,

I am a Canadian, born and raised, and up until 2015 I was so very proud of my country for its inclusivity and quality of life. Unfortunately, in 2015 the tides turned and Canadians elected a minority government that has actively worked to divide and separate each of us for the past six years, first by encouraging domestic terrorism in the forms of BLM, etc. and now by simultaneously trying to bankrupt hardworking Canadians and vilifying and blaming the unvaccinated for a disease that is very clearly being transmitted by everyone. As you are all very aware, there is a large convoy of trucks heading to Ottawa this week with a very Canadian message of freedom: Canadians are saying enough is enough. We are tired of this government trying to make us hate each other, we are tired of this government failing to listen to our concerns or acting in our best interests, and we are especially tired of COVID-19 restrictions that have no basis in science, and which we are not allowed to question.

I am asking each one of you to act in the best interests of your constituents this week as the convoy heads to Ottawa. Canadians need to get back to normal – and not the new normal, where segregation papers are mandated, people are told to wear masks that have been proven entirely ineffective at preventing viral spread, where there are multiple undisclosed conflicts of interest between elected officials and pharmaceutical manufacturers, and where unelected public health officials have the power to lock your child up in his or her bedroom for 14 days. We are all intelligent and thoughtful adults who can assess our own risk, and act accordingly. We do not need this government, that has proven it does not care about the overall welfare of Canadians, making decisions for us.

Please accept this as both my heartfelt plea that you do the right thing and turn this country around so we can all be proud again, and also my promise that I will help these beautiful, freedom-loving souls in any way I can, both financially and by sacrificing my access to food, gas and other amenities (and sharing what I have with my fellow peace-loving freedom fighters), for as long as it takes for Canada to reverse every COVID-19 mandate that is currently in place. As you are probably all aware from international media coverage, as well as social media, the support for these truckers is huge, and growing by the minute. CBC/CTV/Global/Castanet/KelownaNow: I’ve cc’d you. This is probably your last chance to jump over to Team Freedom before the wheels fall off the bus and even the most brainwashed television viewers start to realize how you manipulate and obfuscate news stories in order to protect your cash cow.

I understand Mr. Trudeau may be planning to be out of town when the convoy arrives. Each one of you, including Mr. Trudeau, needs to ensure that you are there and present to talk to your constituents about their concerns. Cowardice is not a Canadian value, and has no place at this momentous time when Canadians are unifying to make this country a better place for everyone. I also understand that Mr. Trudeau and Mr. Butts have labelled these truckers as “terrorists”. I know several of the drivers in the convoy, and they are respectful and kind people who would give you the shirt off their backs if you needed it. The thought that our politicians think it is acceptable to slander the people who pay their salaries (and actively try to prevent a legitimate GoFundMe fundraiser) is not only grotesque, but needs to be addressed and sanctioned in parliament.

I thank each one of you in advance for reaching deep into your soul and doing what is right for Canada and to protect each citizens’ unalienable rights, which include the right to travel both within our country and internationally, the right to earn a living, the right to bodily autonomy and the freedom of expression.

Enough is enough.
