Lifting federal vaccine mandates - "it's complicated"

Mr. Duclos,

I see that you have, yet again, managed to avoid providing any firm guidance on how this federal government is either measuring vaccine mandate success, or defining its parameters for lifting federal mandates. You did advise yesterday, via our unquestioning mainstream media, that the decision will be “based on everything from the vaccination rate, hospital capacity, domestic and international epidemiology to the impact of long-COVID, the economy, and other social impacts”. I’m confused. Perhaps you can explain to me how any of these are relevant to the lifting of mandates? Let’s break it down, for the slow ones in the crowd (I’ve cc’d some of them):

  • Vaccination rates: Even your very own Dr. Theresa Tam (aka Canada’s most consistently wrong public health officer) has advised that the current mandated COVID-19 vaccines have no significant impact on the transmission or severity of COVID-19 cases, and that COVID-19 has become an endemic disease. Apparently your science is different than his?

  • Hospital capacity: The government’s data show that most of the hospitalized at present are vaccinated. (I know – this government likes to hide that data by calculating all hospitalizations, even those pre-vaccine rollout, as well as altering definitions of “fully vaccinated”. It’s a cute parlour trick that isn’t fooling anyone – except perhaps the double-boosted, triple-masked, completely brainwashed.)

  • Domestic and international epidemiology: Epidemiologists the world over agree that vaccinating in the midst of a pandemic is extremely foolish. Oh, sorry – you’re talking about the opinions of epidemiologists who have been paid off with Pfizerbucks. I understand the world’s richest vet, Mr. Albert Bourla, believes everyone should line up for a fourth jab – remind me again, of the definition of insanity? If only someone, just someone, within our government was concerned about preventing blatant conflicts of interest to protect the welfare of Canadian citizens.

  • The impact of long-COVID: If you think long-COVID is bad, have you seen long-COVID-vaccine-adverse-event? As you are more than aware, the current rate of serious vaccine adverse events is 0.011% of all doses administered, for a total of 8,663 known individuals in Canada suffering severe effects from the vaccine – and of course, that presumably includes the 309 Canadians who have lost their lives after vaccination: And speaking of the government’s data – why does the government’s website indicate that 37,240 Canadians have experienced deaths “related to COVID-19”, when the confirmed number of COVID-19 deaths amounts to a grand total of 14,542 from December 14, 2020 to February 27, 2022? Here’s the chart, for your reference:

According to this chart, all levels of government have violated Canadians’ rights for a solid two years over a maximum of 11,000 unvaccinated deaths which, according to federal government data, occurred most frequently in those over 70 years of age or with multiple co-morbidities.

  • The economy: Pardon? Your continued and unjustified trampling of my Charter rights to travel and work is based on supporting the economy? Is this the same economy that your government is hellbent on destroying as fast as it can through irresponsible spending and Mr. Trudeau’s bribery of everyone, from his wedding party buddies to the leader of the NDP?

  • Social impacts: ROFLMAO. Let’s talk about the social impacts of marginalizing at least 15% of people in society, shunning them from society, prohibiting them from supporting their families, and banning them from travel.

I’m not going to go into the Oakes test, or all of the reasons why your statements are wrong. You know as well as I do that your continued abuse of Canadians is a psychological operative with no basis in science. Fun fact: I have polled all of the vaccinated people I know as to their reasons for accepting the “vaccine”. The top reasons were “to eat at a restaurant”, “to travel”, and “because everyone else did it”. Markedly absent were reasons such as “I was scared of getting sick” and “I believe the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective”, as well as “I was informed of the risks of myocarditis and neurological issues, but made a cost/benefit analysis to proceed with the treatment”. Nuremberg 2.0, anyone?

I look forward to your response explaining to me all of the ways in which I am wrong, although if history is an indicator, I will be waiting for quite awhile. The current corrupt government has proven time and again that it feels no obligation to hold itself accountable to the citizens of Canada, nor to act in the best interests of this country, and you have certainly proven that you have adopted those values as your own.

I dream of a day in which politicians feel some compunction to act with integrity.
