Gentlemen,

What a week. This is the second time I’ve contacted both of you due to the very disturbing claims that you have made in the House of Commons. Quite the record as I’ve never emailed either of you before, and quite frankly would be very happy to stay away from politics but for the fascist overreaches that this Liberal Government keeps trying to enact.

Mr. Trudeau, calling Conservatives “tinfoil hat” wearers because of their completely legitimate concerns about Bill C-10 is unacceptable and disrespectful to the Canadian public. Canadians have an expectation, and a right, to freedom of speech. I understand that you would like to ban the photos of you in blackface, but unfortunately for you, that horse has left the barn. Of deeper concern is the notion that the Liberal Government is attempting to quash free speech that contradicts its official narrative. Please understand that, although you have no respect for the “tinfoil hat” wearers in Canada, they are your employers, and you owe them a duty to uphold the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Canadian Constitution and to act with decorum at all times. Canada is a first world democracy, and up until recently I was proud to call myself Canadian. Now I look around and don’t recognize my country. You are creating a great divide in this country that will have severe consequences, starting with the mass exodus of the middle class to any country accepting immigrants. While this might sound appealing to you, let me remind you who is servicing your $400B (and ever-growing) debt. That topic, is, of course, subject for another day.

I’m getting really tired of waking up to insults by my Government and news of its unconstitutional acts every morning, and trying to calm myself down at night with a stiff drink or three. Would you mind doing me a favour and respecting Canadians, and the law of our country, for a few days so I can give my liver a rest?
